Quote.
“When you live your life with honesty and integrity, there is nothing that anyone can ever take away from you.”
The Bible says:
Genesis 23:16b
He weighed it in the same way those who buy and sell weighed it at that time.
Because You’re too LOADED
You can’t afford not to be honest. I love this week’s scripture. I encourage you to read Genesis 23 it really shows the integrity of Abraham.
He needed to buy a field to bury his sweetheart Sarah. The owner wanted to give it to Abraham for free, but Abraham said no, he wanted to pay the right price and he weighed out the silver honestly. Exactly how they weighed it out in those times. No wonder God loved and blessed him.
We all have temptations to be dishonest; add a little more when we know we shouldn’t or trim off a little more when we know we shouldn’t. Say some things to make the story sound better. Subtract some elements that make us look better.
It can also happen in the smallest issues of life, the ones you think “ah that doesn’t matter, no one will know”. But someone does know, God knows, He’s always watching. Watching to see if we will trust Him and be honest.
God says if you cannot be trusted in the small things how can you be trusted in the big things! Luke 16:10
That’s serious!
This year I am purposing in my heart to be honest in every situation; so help me God. To weigh the scales in every situation honestly. To be honest in my words, actions and in my thoughts. Please join me.
I believe God will smile on us and when God smiles. only His goodness can follow and no one can out-give God in goodness!
Much love in the Lord.
